But there are many ferries and private speedboats that go to Dhiffushi.
By ferry, it takes around 50 minutes to an hour to reach Dhiffushi from Male. Most ferries in Male leave from the Maldives Monetary Authority.
If you take a speedboat, you can cut your journey time by half. While there are many private speedboat agencies in the Maldives, you should try to book a ticket for a speedboat well in advance to avoid any issues once you reach. Note that while ferries are slower, they are also cheaper than speedboats.
There are two kinds of speedboats you can book to Dhiffushi: Scheduled and Chartered. Scheduled Speedboats run three days a week. Chartered speedboats are available every day. The price for a chartered speedboat is determined by the number of people taking the boat. You need to inform the hotel staff at Café Kaafu at least three days in advance before your arrival date for them to be able to arrange a chartered speedboat for you. You can either call the hotel staff or use the special requests box while booking your rooms.
Since Dhiffushi is a water sports haven, Café Kaafu has its own water sports centre to fulfil all your adventurous dreams. Trained instructors at the centre can guide you through a scuba diving and snorkelling course before you dive into the deep blue waters. Not just diving, you can also try a host of other exciting water sports like jet skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, and catamaran sailing at the hotel.
Café Kaafu also arranges many boat tours for its guests. Since it is the Maldives, you absolutely cannot leave out an island-hopping trip. To maintain the authenticity of the island, Café Kaafu requires its guests to not party loudly post 11 at night to 8 in the morning. There is no age restriction for anyone visiting Café Kaafu; although, pets are not allowed. If you are travelling with children and would need extra beds, you’d have to pay a separate price depending on the kind of bed and the number of extra beds you need.
